I have practiced neurology in the Central Pennsylvania area ever since completing my education and residency in New York in 1981. I headed a practice of 7 neurologists where I was also Chief of the neurology section at Pinnacle Health Systems, Harrisburg. I held teaching, and hospital appointments in all of the local hospitals. I left Harrisburg to be director of neurosciences at Susquehanna Health in 2004 which was a wonderful system but now I have come back to practice in Harrisburg. I love neurology and believe the brain and the nervous system is a thing of beauty to learn about. I get interested in some things, but I am not the type of person to settle forever in a little corner of my discipline. I'm privileged to work with patients and help them any way I can and learn at the same time. Neurological principles have a wide applicability outside the field. I proselytize about Neurology with people in all walks of life.
Every doctor should be concerned about a high level of practice and ethics of the profession. Pls see "A Catalog of Physician Oaths" and my own editorial comments).
Practice:
Services include examination of management of persons with neurological diseases, physiological tests including EMG, NCV, Evoked Potentials, EEG. I enjoy standard 'bread and butter' problems as well as diagnostic and treatment challenges. I've practiced General Adult Neurology for over 26 years and have focused on such diagnoses as Multiple Sclerosis, Balance Disorders and Dizziness, Migraine. Alzheimer and Parkinson Disease. At this time, I am anticipating having primarily a hospital inpatient practice and office appointments will be extremely limited.
